HAPPY 2015

Happy 2015, hope you all had a lovely Christmas & New Year!!

I want to start the year off by saying thank you to everyone that read my blog last year. I have only been posting for three months & I already love it. Those who left a comment, followed, retweeted, it means so much that you like it. Hearing your feedback & seeing the support makes me so happy!

In 2015 I am going to spend a lot more time working on the blog, meaning lots more regular posts. In the next few weeks I will reveal a schedule so you will know when to check back & what will be featured. Something that will be new this year are posts about me as a fashion designer, my designs, illustrations, inspirations & lots more. There will also be the usual outfit posts, items I am lusting after, along with many other fashion related pieces.

Please message, tweet or comment below if there is anything you want to see featured on Laura Elizabeth or if you just want to say hello.

I am looking forward to many more posts in 2015, hope you are to!

WINTER NEUTRALS

Coat // TOPSHOP (alternative from ASOS)
Jumper // H&M (alternative from RIVERISLAND)
Jamie Jeans // TOPSHOP
Clutch Bag // ASOS (alternative from ASOS)
Nude Heels // TOPSHOP (alternative from TOPSHOP or BOOHOO)
Michael Kors Lexington Watch // NET-A-PORTER
BeautyUk Nail Varnish Cherry Bomb // SUPERDRUG

Normally during the winter season we put the lighter colour palettes we wore in the summer away & replace them with darker pieces. I do love a good black or navy outfit this time of year but I still like to keep the pretty, softer colours in my wardrobe.

When wearing neutral tones in winter it is important to still make the outfit look & feel cosy. This can be done by adding soft, chunky textures through knitwear & warm tones by wearing gold accessories. I also like to add a wintery nail polish like this lovely cherry bomb colour from BeautyUk perfect for the festive season.

Unfortunately most of the items I am wearing are now out of stock but I have found some great alternatives. What do you think?

WEEKLY WISHLIST. DAY TO NIGHT

Day Look
Night Look

Whilst creating this post I realised the items I have been lusting after this week work well as outfits, so this is a 'Weekly Wishlist' with a difference. Using my favourite pieces I have shown how to create two different looks keeping the jumpsuit as the centrepiece. Changing shoes & accessories to take you from day to night.

I find it is important during the party season to be able to change your look quickly with minimal effort, incase you do not have time to venture home between that festive lunch date and christmassy night out.

What do you think to the two looks? Which do you prefer day or night?

FRINGE, SEQUINS & KNEE HIGH BOOTS

Tunic // TOPSHOP
Jacket // BELOVED Concession at Topshop (alternative from MISS GUIDED
Bag // PRIMARK (alternative from ASOS)
Boots // ZARA

Fringe, sequins & knee high boots are three different trends perfect for this winter season. Instead of wearing these separately I decided to take a risk combining all three into one outfit & it works! The different textures add a little something special allowing me to leave the accessorising to a minimum.

I love everything about this outfit but the boots have to be my favourite. They are the best purchase I have made all season, if I could wear them with my pyjamas I would! They make any outfit feel stylish even when thrown on with jeans & a T-shirt, definitely a must have.

What do you think? Which is your favourite piece?
