SUMMER SOPHISTICATION

D-ring Crop Top // ASOS
Grey Wrap Skirt // ASOS (alternative: ASOS)
Caged Stud Sandals // ZARA (alternative: Public Desire)
Embellished Clutch Bag // PRIMARK
Watch // Vintage Rolex (alternative: Michael Kors Lexington)

Maybe you have a wedding coming up or a summer graduation or even just a night out and are wondering what to wear... well this outfit is perfect for any summer occasion that calls for something dressy!

I was looking for an outfit to wear to a friends birthday. Searching ASOS I came across this wrap skirt and fell in love. ASOS had styled it with a black top which looked gorgeous on the model so I thought I would go for something similar with this black cut out top which I also found on ASOS. It has now gone down to only £8 in their sale so if you like it make sure you grab it whilst you can!! I teamed the look with my Zara caged studded sandals. I think they add an edgy vibe to the skirt as does the D-ring detail on the crop top.

To finish off the whole look I styled it with this gorgeous embellished clutch from Primark, I know PRIMARK!! can you believe it? It has so much detail all for £10. It also has a chain strap so you can also wear it across the body if you wanted. I did buy it recently so it should still be in store if you want to get your hands on this beautiful summer accessory.

What do you think to this outfit? How would you have styled this wrap skirt?

A FESTIVE TREAT.

During the run up to Christmas I get a little bit carried away with self-gifting!! When out shopping for presents I often spot festive things that I want for myself. I blame this on having an obsession with both Christmas & shopping. So it happened, I mentioned in my October Primark Haul post that I had picked up something Christmassy from Primark & here it is, a 12 Days of Christmas Advent Calendar!!

I first saw this in the Becca Rose Primark Haul YouTube video where she gets the keys to the Oxford Street store to do a haul. As soon as I saw it I knew I needed to hunt it down. It is an advent calendar for the 12 days running up to Christmas & instead of getting a chocolate everyday you get a piece of jewellery. This is perfect for those who are not a fan of chocolate or like me want a little something different to open every morning.

The advent calendar contains 4 pairs of stud earrings, 2 rings, 3 bracelets & 3 necklaces in both gold & silver. They are small & dainty, perfect for everyday use especially if you like layering your jewellery like I do.

I have been naughty & opened the first window, my excuse being I need to show you all an example of what you get inside. I do not know if it varies between each calendar but the first window of mine is a pair of gold bird stud earrings. The remaining 11 windows will be revealed on the run up to Christmas as I open them. I will do this by posting pictures on my twitter, so follow & keep an eye out to get a closer look at what is inside.

If you want one, check out Primark & pick one up for £8. Let me know if you manage to get one!

These are some others Advent Calendar alternatives I like the look of.

PRIMARK HAUL. OCTOBER 2014

Primark use to be a place I would go for basics or a cheap treat, often preferring to shop in what I considered to be more fashion led shops. However, during the past couple of years when visiting Primark I have seen a massive change: their clothes appear to be more catwalk inspired, they are much better quality & yet they still keep their price point temptingly low! Now, like many others, when I go in for a browse or to pick up a basic I come out with a bag (or two) full of goodies.

As well as browsing the store I like looking at Primark blog posts & YouTube videos of Primark Hauls!! I don’t know what it is, maybe it is because they don’t have a online shop so instead of being able to browse their site for the latest pieces you have to look at what others have picked up. I decided to follow the ‘Primark Haul’ trend & show you all what I got in October. Hopefully the majority is still in store for you to get your hands on.

Fringed Backpack // £12

Tartan Blanket Scarf // £6
Oversized Fine Knit Jumper // £10

Stud & Chain Bag // £6

Leopard Scarf // £5

Coconut & Vanilla Cream Large Tin Candle // £3.50
Coconut & Vanilla Cream Small Jar Candle // 80p
Sweet Pineapple & Ginger Candle // £2

Stud Earring Sets // £1.50 each

My favorite purchase is the fringed backpack. At first I was unsure thinking it would not suit me & that I might have to take it back but now I absolutely love it! It is a great, on trend accessory to dress up a casual, daytime outfit. As one bag is never enough I also got a small silver stud & chain bag, which is gorgeous, definitely doesn’t look like it only cost £6!

I also love the tartan checked blanket scarf that has two different patterns one on each side. it is so cozy. It looks great paired with the black thin knitted jumper I picked up. The jumper is the perfect staple for anyone’s winter wardrobe, it can be dressed up or down, I now want it in every colour!

The leopard scarf is not as snuggly as the blanket scarf but for £5 it is a great way of adding pattern to any outfit. The earrings were too tempting 9 pairs for £1.50 so I picked them up in both gold & silver.

Finally who can resist a home ware purchase in Primark, they have such a great range. I got three scented candles, two in my favorite coconut & vanilla scent. I thought I would try something new with the pineapple & ginger candle, it did not disappoint, smells amazing. Their candles also come in great packaging that can be reused even after the candle has burnt.

I also made a little festive purchase, which is so exciting! I will do a separate blog post on this later on, so keep an eye out for that. If you love Christmas like I do then you will want to go out and buy it yourself!

Let me know what you have all been buying from Primark, comment or link your blog posts/haul videos below & I will have a look at your goodies.
